What is the Wiccan Rede? Does it give you permission to do whatever you want?

The Wiccan Rede is a code of ethics, a moral compass, for Wiccans. The heart of the Wiccan Rede states, “An it harm none, do what ye will’: however, the Rede encourages one to think the implications of his or her actions. Click here for more information.

Can you cast a love spell for me? I want to make X all mine.

Unfortunately, making someone fall in love with you violates the Wiccan Rede, as it curtails that person’s free will. If you want to cast a spell to attract an ideal mate, without naming a specific person, that’s another matter: you can cast your own spell for that purpose.
